Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including families and caregivers, within a Neuro ICU setting
Perform ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care utilizing the nursing process
Care for patients with complex neurological conditions including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, neurologic tumors, seizures, and post-neurosurgical needs
Manage general Medical ICU patients presenting with conditions such as DKA, sepsis, and respiratory illness
Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered, clinically excellent outcomes
Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level, including potential holiday and weekend shifts
Required Qualifications
Active Nevada RN license required prior to start date
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
Demonstrated experience caring for Neuro Trauma and post-neurosurgery patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience caring for post-Alteplase and/or post-Thrombectomy patients
Experience caring for post-neurosurgical patients with external ventricular drains
