Registered Nurse – ICU / Trauma ICU

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed ICU/Trauma ICU setting with a 1:1–1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Manage and titrate vasoactive drips including vasopressors and sedation agents
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips independently using GE monitoring equipment
Care for complex patient populations including trauma, neuro/stroke, head injuries, and post-tPA patients
Perform and manage ICP monitoring and ventriculostomy care
Collaborate with an intensivist, charge nurse, respiratory therapy, and house supervisor available 24/7
Required Qualifications
Active RN license with a minimum of 2–3 years of ICU specialty experience
Experience with ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies, OR documented experience with post-tPA patient care
Trauma ICU experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythm strips
Must pass an onsite proctored Dysrhythmia Test on day one (pass/fail)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous travel nursing experience, particularly in large, fast-paced facilities
PALS certification (will be required if assignment extends beyond 6 months)
Familiarity with Hamilton ventilators
