Travel RN – Burn Trauma ICU (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 2 weekends per pay period
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Burn Trauma ICU setting with a 2:1 patient ratio (ICU) or 4:1 (PCU)
- Perform and assist with unit procedures including wound care, code response, EVDs, and massive transfusion protocols (MTP)
- Operate and utilize critical care equipment and Burn/Trauma ICU technology; document care using Meditech EMR
- Float as needed to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or PCU units based on census demands
- Collaborate within a team-based environment, demonstrating strong communication and critical thinking skills
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Texas
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Willingness and ability to float to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or PCU units
- Expected availability for 2 weekends per pay period
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- CCRN certification
- Experience with EVD management and massive transfusion protocols
