Key Responsibilities
Provide direct, continuous care for critically ill and unstable patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting
Manage and monitor life-support equipment including mechanical ventilators
Titrate complex intravenous drips and interpret vital signs to guide clinical decisions
Perform comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments and administer medications accurately
Coordinate advanced patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team
Float to similar units within the facility as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of direct ICU experience (float experience does not qualify)
Demonstrated EKG interpretation experience
Active Michigan Registered Nurse license in good standing (LARA and Nursys verification required)
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification
Completed RN skills checklist within the past year
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in Neuro, CVICU, or Trauma ICU environments
Proficiency in managing ventilated patients
Experience with CRRT and intra-aortic balloon pumps
