TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61637!
Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing diagnoses including sepsis, ARDS, pneumonia, AKI, ETOH withdrawal, and overdose
Interpret EKG strips and manage patients on telemetry monitoring using Philips monitors
Manage and titrate a wide variety of vasoactive and cardioactive drips per physician-outlined medication order parameters
Provide advanced care for ventilated patients, including management of arterial lines and central lines
Collaborate with intensivists, telemedicine intensivist support, attending physicians on call, charge RNs, and patient care techs to deliver comprehensive critical care
Float to stepdown or general medical units as needed, adjusting patient assignments accordingly
Required Qualifications
Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Proficiency in EKG strip interpretation
Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and care of ventilated patients
Advanced knowledge in titrating vasopressors and vasoactive medications
Must be able to pass a drug screen; position is located on a drug-free campus
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU or MICU setting
Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
Experience working with Philips telemetry monitoring equipment
