    Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / MICU

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing diagnoses including sepsis, ARDS, pneumonia, AKI, ETOH withdrawal, and overdose
    • Interpret EKG strips and manage patients on telemetry monitoring using Philips monitors
    • Manage and titrate a wide variety of vasoactive and cardioactive drips per physician-outlined medication order parameters
    • Provide advanced care for ventilated patients, including management of arterial lines and central lines
    • Collaborate with intensivists, telemedicine intensivist support, attending physicians on call, charge RNs, and patient care techs to deliver comprehensive critical care
    • Float to stepdown or general medical units as needed, adjusting patient assignments accordingly
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Proficiency in EKG strip interpretation
    • Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and care of ventilated patients
    • Advanced knowledge in titrating vasopressors and vasoactive medications
    • Must be able to pass a drug screen; position is located on a drug-free campus
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU or MICU setting
    • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
    • Experience working with Philips telemetry monitoring equipment
