    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct, primary nursing care in an 8-bed critical care unit with a 1:2–3 nurse-to-patient ratio, with no nurse aides or patient care techs on the unit
    • Care for ICU-level patients including those with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, post-CVA, post-trauma, wound care, IV antibiotics, and cardiac conditions
    • Manage and titrate ICU-level drips including Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levophed, Dopamine, and Cardizem
    • Provide care for sedated and ventilated patients, including tracheostomy care, PEG tube care and feedings, and CVC/PICC/Midline usage and maintenance
    • Monitor patients via hard-wired Phillips telemetry systems; work alongside a telemetry tech who centrally monitors all 8 ICU beds
    • Float to the medical-surgical unit as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Demonstrated experience caring for sedated, ventilated patients and titrating vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips
    • Proficiency with CVC/PICC/Midline care, tracheostomy management, and PEG tube care and feedings
    • Must be able to produce a negative drug screen; facility maintains a drug-free campus policy
    • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
    • Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitoring systems
    • Prior experience in a high-acuity ICU environment managing a broad range of critical diagnoses
