    Registered Nurse – ICU

    Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed ICU/CCU setting with a 1:2 ratio, which may adjust to 1:1 based on patient acuity
    • Manage and monitor complex drip infusions including vasopressors, sedation, and cardiac medications (e.g., vasopressin, levophed, norepinephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, propofol, fentanyl)
    • Manage ventilator-dependent patients and perform independent cardiac monitor strip reading (no monitor tech on unit)
    • Care for patients with complex diagnoses including neurosurgical cases (craniotomies, carotids, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring), open heart surgery, post-cath, impellas, and balloon pumps
    • May serve in a Charge Nurse capacity; float to IMCU (stepdown) or Observation as needed
    • Participate in holiday rotation in alignment with permanent staff scheduling (typically one major and one minor holiday)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in the state of California
    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale
    • Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience
    • Proficiency with ventilator management and vasoactive/sedation drip administration
    • Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
    • Ability to validate skills for specialized equipment (impellas, balloon pumps) if applicable
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience
    • Experience with Cerner EMR
    • Background in neuro or cardiac ICU care (neurosurgical or cardiac-specific candidates will be considered)
    • General broad-based ICU experience strongly preferred
