Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1–2 nurses to 3 patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- No on-call requirements associated with this position
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Rhode Island or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Unit-specific ICU experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-acuity or level I/II ICU environment
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in fast-paced settings
- Familiarity with travel nursing expectations and adaptability to new facility protocols
