    Travel RN – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

    Location

    Nashville, TN | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: September 21, 2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 31-bed Medical ICU with patient ratios of 2:1, adjusting to 1:1 or 3:1 based on acuity and staffing needs
    • Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
    • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
    • Assist with and support procedures performed on the unit, including central line insertions, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
    • Meet a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; participate in self-scheduling within manager-balanced parameters
    • Deliver attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members; be prepared to float to med/surg as needed per contract labor floating policy
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license (must be valid for the state of Tennessee)
    • ACLS certification required
    • BLS certification required
    • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
    • Ability to wear navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) per dress code requirements
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with CRRT, SLED, and EVD management
    • Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
    • Experience assisting with or performing central line and arterial line insertions
