Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7PM–7AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Manage and titrate drips including Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, Vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem
Care for patients with diagnoses including Heart Failure, Respiratory Failure, Sepsis, GI Bleeds, Strokes, TPA, post-codes, Pneumonia, and post-surgical complications
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips using Spacelabs monitoring system (no tele techs on unit)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Hospitalists on-site 24/7, Intensivists available via telehealth 24/7, and Respiratory Therapists in the ICU 24/7
Float as needed to Telemetry (1:3 ratio when possible) or to other ICU locations within the health system
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure in good standing
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to titrate vasoactive and sedation drips independently
Strong team-player mentality and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced critical care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with ventilated patients, High Flow oxygen therapy, and BiPAP
Familiarity with Spacelabs telemetry monitoring systems
