Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients upon admission and throughout care
• Plan and implement individualized nursing care based on patient and family needs
• Make appropriate clinical interventions based on individual patient needs and responses
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions and adjust care plans accordingly
• Direct, coordinate, and delegate patient care activities to foster patient- and family-centered care
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in collaboration with the broader healthcare team

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience
• Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment
• BLS certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification required — physical copy must be provided
• NIHSS certification required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year is required
• Candidates must adhere to a strict attendance policy; three instances of absence or tardiness exceeding 20 minutes from a scheduled shift may result in immediate termination

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in CVICU; float capability to CVICU preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Comfort working in a high-acuity environment with 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios
