Registered Nurse – ICU (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Function as part of a float pool, with the expectation of floating to different ICU floors or lower-acuity units, including telemetry, for up to 100% of shifts
- May be required to float to a sister facility as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic electronic health records
- Commit to working a minimum of every other weekend, with the expectation that weekend frequency may increase to meet unit needs
- Must be available to work 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Must be willing to float to different ICU floors or lower-acuity units, including telemetry, as assigned
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Prior experience in a high-acuity acute care hospital setting
