    Registered Nurse – ICU

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting, including neurological, cardiovascular, and multi-trauma populations
    • Care for patients presenting with stroke (thrombectomy-capable stroke center), STEMI, gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, and orthopedic conditions
    • Manage complex cases including CABG/Valve surgery, IABP, CRRT, sepsis, and post-surgical patients
    • Float between ICU and PCU overflow units as needed
    • Document patient care using Epic electronic health record system
    • Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
    Required Qualifications
    • Active, unencumbered RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
    • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
    • Strong neuro experience required
    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, LA Fire Card
    • Must be able to float between ICU and PCU overflow as assigned
    • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of candidacy; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
    • Local candidates (within 50 miles) are welcome to apply
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center or similarly high-acuity environment
    • Familiarity with IABP, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring
    • Prior experience charting in Epic
    • Experience working in a Magnet-designated facility
