Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process from admission through discharge.
- Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and accurate manner, implementing physician orders as written.
- Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum, including discharge planning.
- Document the nursing process thoroughly, concisely, and accurately in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status in a timely manner.
- Direct and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers to support quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, independent decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous Registered Nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar acute care environment.
- Ability to manage urgent or high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
