Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting with an average patient-to-nurse ratio of 0.2 PPD
- Manage patients requiring conscious sedation, telemetry monitoring, and mechanical ventilation
- Administer and monitor care in accordance with ICU protocols and physician orders
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient census
- Document patient care accurately using CPSI EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active WV RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BLS (BCLS) and ACLS certifications required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Proficiency in conscious sedation, telemetry, and mechanical ventilators required
- Must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CCRN certification preferred
- Prior experience with CPSI or CERNER EMR systems
- Experience in a travel nursing capacity is a plus, though not required
