    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed ICU setting with a standard ratio of 2 patients per nurse, or 1:1 when clinically indicated
    • Care for adult ICU patients; may occasionally care for stable pediatric patients (unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care)
    • Manage potential Med/Surg overflow assignments with ratios of up to 3-4 patients per nurse as needed
    • May float to other departments to provide support (not assigned a full patient team) when needed
    • Participate as one of a minimum of three nurses per shift; may be assigned charge nurse duties
    • Maintain current PALS certification and apply pediatric competencies when caring for stable pediatric patients
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • PALS certification required
    • Pediatric nursing experience required
    • ICU clinical experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a charge nurse or leadership role
    • Familiarity with Med/Surg overflow patient populations
    • Experience working in a small or community hospital ICU setting
