    Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: 08/24/2026

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care Unit for patients including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors
    • Perform comprehensive and thorough neurological assessments, including management of hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer
    • Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity
    • Float to other inpatient areas as needed when home unit is at low census; work every other weekend
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience
    • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
    • Demonstrated experience caring for hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients
    • Strong comprehensive assessment and neurological assessment skills
    • Must pass required EKG test prior to placement
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Pupillometer, External Ventricular Drain (EVD), and ICP waveform management
    • Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR
