Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Cardiac Critical Care Unit managing a 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 patient ratio
- Care for post-Cath STEMI and NSTEMI patients, direct admits from other facilities, and medical ICU overflow
- Manage ventilated patients with respiratory therapy support and titrate vasoactive drips
- Operate specialized equipment including Arctic Sun, temporary pacemakers, and Swan-Ganz catheters
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Float to other units first in low-census situations as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for the state of Indiana
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator management and titratable vasoactive drips
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiac critical care populations including STEMI and NSTEMI patients
- Familiarity with Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring and temporary pacemaker management
- Prior experience with Arctic Sun temperature management system
- Experience working in a high-acuity ICU environment with complex cardiac patients
