    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – ICU

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | 13-week assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct bedside nursing care to critically ill pulmonary and medical patients in a 24-bed ICU with a 1:2 or 1:1 RN-to-patient ratio
    • Manage patients with conditions including acute respiratory failure, ARDS, septic shock, pulmonary embolism, esophageal varices, renal failure, and multisystem organ failure
    • Perform and manage arterial lines, central venous lines, invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
    • Administer and titrate multiple continuous IV drips including high-dose vasopressors, sedatives, and paralytics; manage neuromuscular blocking agents with nerve stimulation monitoring
    • Participate in emergency event management, post-cardiac arrest care, targeted temperature management (TTM), and pronation therapy
    • Care for organ donor patients including brain death donation and donation after cardiac death
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact state license
    • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
    • Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
    • Prior travel nursing experience
