Registered Nurse – ICU (Float)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility, maintaining a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Float across the enterprise central region, including multiple hospital campuses, based on staffing needs
- Adapt to varying unit assignments including intermediate care (1:4–5 ratio) and general medical-surgical units (1:5–7, up to 1:5–8 in community hospitals) as needed
- Respond to daily shift assignments communicated by email, with adequate lead time provided before shift start
- Fulfill expected weekend commitment of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- At least 1 professional reference from entire work history
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Comfort with floating to multiple hospital campuses and varying acuity levels
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment
