Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Glen Burnie, MD

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity Intermediate Care unit serving adult and geriatric populations, including lower-level ICU overflow patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3, with potential for adjusted ratios when caring for lower-acuity or overflow Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
• Float to the ICU as needed based on unit census and staffing requirements
• Float within specialty and to lower-acuity units as operationally required; travelers are first to float
• Adhere to all compliance onboarding requirements, including completing labs within 72 hours of contract signing and submitting compliance documents no later than 5 days prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted with strong IMC or ICU-level experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Intermediate Care or ICU setting with high-acuity patient populations
• Comfort with floating across acuity levels, including Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
