    Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (20:00–08:30) | Every Other Weekend (EOW) | 8-Week Contract

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics
    • Manage common ICU diagnoses including sepsis, pneumonia, MSOF, neuro/CVA, cardiac/pulmonary, renal, and surgical conditions
    • Assist with and support special procedures including bronchoscopies, PEG placements, tracheostomies, and surgical cases
    • Maintain a standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with the possibility of up to 1:3 for lower-acuity patients
    • Float within specialty and to lower-acuity units as needed; travelers are typically first to float
    • Adhere to holiday and weekend scheduling requirements as assigned
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
    • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    • CPI certification required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)
    • Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility address (locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless explicitly stated)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with tracheostomy care, bronchoscopy assistance, and surgical ICU patients
    • Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes and onboarding requirements
    • Comfort with floating within scope and adapting to varying unit needs without scheduling restrictions
