    Contract | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to medically complex, critically ill patients including those with respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, various shock states, ARDS, DKA, CVA post-tPA, and cardiac arrest with TTM
    • Support and assist with high-acuity bedside procedures including central and arterial line placements, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, paracentesis, and thoracentesis, as well as code blue response
    • Maintain standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, with potential increase to 4:1 when boarding patients awaiting inpatient transfer
    • Collaborate with a CNA on each shift and coordinate with the broader interdisciplinary care team
    • Float to telemetry units as census demands; travelers should be prepared to float to sister facilities nearby when required
    • Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum of 1 year of ICU/MICU experience required — first-time travelers not accepted
    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
    • Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
    • Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
    • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for patients requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation
    • Familiarity with TTM protocols and post-cardiac arrest care
    • Prior experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced MICU environment
    • Comfort with floating to telemetry or step-down units as needed
