    Job Title

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Weekends Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to medically complex, critically ill patients including those with respiratory failure, multisystem organ failure, various shock states, ARDS, DKA, CVA post-tPA, and cardiac arrest with TTM
    • Manage patients requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation in a high-acuity, fast-paced MICU environment
    • Assist with and support bedside procedures including central and arterial line placements, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and code blue response
    • Maintain standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, with potential increase to 4:1 when boarding patients awaiting inpatient transfer
    • Chart accurately and efficiently using EPIC
    • Float to telemetry units as census requires; travelers must be prepared to float between sister facilities as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
    • Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
    • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    • 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a high-acuity medical ICU or Level II Trauma Center setting
    • Familiarity with TTM protocols, ARDS management, and hemodynamic monitoring
    • Comfort with rapid sequence intubation support and critical care procedures
