Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Dallas, TX

Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:15 AM | Expected 36 hours/week | Projected duration approximately 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans in a critical care setting
• Provide advanced life support, treat wounds, and respond to life-saving situations using established nursing standards and protocols
• Monitor and record patient vital signs; ensure proper function of ventilators, monitors, and other critical care equipment, including ventilator and IABP adjustments
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications; perform suctioning as indicated
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary critical care team and assist physicians during procedures
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families; serve as a patient advocate

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or a multi-state RN license
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical ICU experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a critical care or ICU setting
• Experience managing ventilator-dependent and hemodynamically unstable patients
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
