    Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Third Weekend Required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical ICU setting, managing a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio (occasionally 1:3)
    • Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including vasopressors and sedation agents (e.g., levophed, neosynephrine, cardene, precedex, propofol)
    • Manage and troubleshoot ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
    • Read and verify cardiac monitor strips using Draeger telemetry monitors in collaboration with centralized monitor technicians
    • Care for patients with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, MI, DKA, PE, STEMI, and atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response
    • Float to lower levels of care including PCU and Med/Surg as needed; orientation provided for float units
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
    • Hands-on ICU experience including management of drips, mechanical ventilators, and BiPAP
    • Ability to pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
    • Compliance with facility fingernail policy: artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
    • Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
    • Previous travel nursing experience
    • PALS and TNCC certifications
