Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed ICU setting with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella devices, and intra-aortic balloon pumps
- Assist with and support procedures such as intubation, central line placement, bronchoscopy, EVD placement, ICP monitoring, pacers, and bolts
- Collaborate with the care team including Charge Nurse Coordinators, unit secretaries, and support staff on night shift
- Float to the Doctors ICU as needed
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a patient-centered approach to care
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience — candidates without ICU experience will not be considered
- Availability to work every other weekend
- Must be available for on-call placement within the scheduled shift if census does not require presence; no additional call expectations beyond that shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience
- Cardiovascular surgery experience
