Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 4 weekend shifts per schedule | No on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed ICU setting with patient ratios of 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 depending on acuity
- Manage patients requiring ventilator support and cardiovascular drip administration
- Assist with or support procedures including thoracentesis, arterial line placement, and central line placement
- Operate specialized equipment such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella as applicable (experience with these not mandatory)
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Float to the IMU as needed per unit staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator management and cardiovascular drips
- Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with CRRT, IABP, or Impella devices
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
