    Registered Nurse – ICU (Cardiac Intensive Care)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to cardiac and medical intensive care patients, including management of advanced cardiac devices such as LVAD, Impella, and IABP
    • Monitor and manage patients on ventilators, CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
    • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and respond to changes in patient cardiac status
    • Care for pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and intervention patients, including sheath removal
    • Support post-cardiac surgery patients (not directly from the OR) and step-down overflow as needed
    • Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio in a high-acuity ICU environment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU setting (CCU, CVICU, or Cardiopulmonary ICU strongly required)
    • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification
    • Demonstrated competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
    • Minimum 1 year of recent experience with EPIC EMR
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Hands-on experience with advanced cardiac devices including Impella, IABP, LVAD, and temporary ventricular pacing (TVP)
    • Experience with CRRT and management of invasive hemodynamic monitoring
    • Background in pre- and post-cardiac surgery patient care
