Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care across a mixed-acuity environment encompassing Critical Care, Stepdown, and Cardiac Telemetry patients with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:2 to 1:4
- Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Administer and monitor continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including patient support technicians and monitor technicians to deliver quality care across all three levels of patient acuity
- Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
- Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements, including orientation
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience with Epic EMR required
- Must live more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; night shift ICU travelers must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible (50–99.9 miles may be subject to a reduced bill rate)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CCRN certification preferred
- Experience in a mixed-acuity environment managing Critical Care, Stepdown, and Telemetry patients
