Contract | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day/Night Rotating (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) setting
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, interpreting ECG rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Rotate between day and night shifts as needed to meet unit operational needs
- Participate in required orientation assessments, annual competencies, and facility-mandated training modules
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the ICU/SICU specialty
- Minimum of 18 months of recent SICU experience (travel experience accepted)
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- Must be available to work at least every other holiday
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 18 months of SICU experience obtained within a single facility location
- Demonstrated proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition
- Familiarity with safe medication administration assessment protocols
