Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) setting during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Perform ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments as required during orientation
- Participate in holiday coverage on a rotating basis, working at minimum every other holiday
- Complete required annual hands-on competency training and facility-assigned modules as directed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in ICU/SICU specialty; travel experience in SICU may be considered
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active NIHSS certification required
- Must achieve an acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 18 months of SICU experience within a single location preferred
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment within the past 12 months
