Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) setting
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, interpreting ECG rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely in accordance with facility protocols and competency assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Participate in required orientation activities, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments
- Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the ICU/SICU specialty (travel experience may be considered)
- Active and unencumbered permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
- One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment within the past 12 months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 18 months of SICU experience within a single facility location
- Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU or SICU environment
