Travel RN – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | 3–4 weekend shifts per schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed ICU with patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1
- Operate and manage ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, and GE monitoring equipment
- Perform and assist with advanced procedures including intubation, central line insertions, and arterial line insertions
- Manage IV drip titration and arterial lines; document care using the Meditech system
- Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, bedside shift report (BSSR), and Press Ganey goals
- Float to Med-Surg or ED as needed to support critical staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency with ventilator management and IV drip titration
- Navy blue scrubs required as unit dress code
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience supporting or orienting new graduate RNs
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a high-acuity environment
