Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Charlottesville, VA

Key Responsibilities Float to various ICU and intermediate care units including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit, Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, and Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit. Work every other weekend and every other holiday; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays including Thanksgiving, Black Friday, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various ICU and intermediate care units including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit, Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, and Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit
• Provide nursing care for ED boarders — patients admitted to the hospital but boarding in the ED prior to room assignment
• Adhere to facility float pool policy, floating within scope of practice as needed across assigned units
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays including Thanksgiving, Black Friday, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience in multiple ICU or intermediate care settings
• Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated adaptability across units
