Key Responsibilities
- Provide total patient care in a 12-bed ICU with a 1:2–3 patient ratio
- Manage patients on ventilators and titratable drips, including medication mixing
- Perform patient hygiene care and other direct patient care duties
- Float to the Emergency Room (ER) to assist with call lights, medication pass, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws as needed
- Float to Med/Surg and take a full patient assignment of up to 6 patients, or function in an aide capacity covering up to 12 patients
- Fingerprinting is required for all travelers working in New Mexico — submitting agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Willingness and ability to float to ER and Med/Surg departments
- Availability for holiday shifts as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Emergency Room (ER) and Med/Surg experience preferred
- TNCC certification preferred
- Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, and medication mixing preferred
- Familiarity with MedHost EMR preferred
