Contract | 26-Week Assignment | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Medical Intensive Care Unit at a large Level 1 trauma facility
- Monitor, assess, and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive medical intervention
- Administer medications and perform EKG interpretation in accordance with unit protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of dedicated Medical ICU nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
- Must successfully pass Day 1 medications and EKG exam (minimum 80%) to maintain assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, high-acuity ICU environment
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills in rapidly changing patient conditions
- Familiarity with complex medication management in an intensive care setting
