Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Apply neurological nursing experience to assess, monitor, and manage ICU patients with neuro-related conditions
• Utilize facility charting system (Meditech) to accurately document patient care and clinical findings
• Float between like units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Participate in weekend rotation, with an expected 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license - compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Neurological nursing experience is required - candidates should reflect a 3-4 skill level on the ICU skills checklist
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals may be considered under separate terms)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with specialized equipment used in an acute care ICU environment
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records charting system
• Strong adaptability and willingness to float to sister facilities nearby as needed
