Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed critical care unit serving a diverse patient population
- Care for patients with conditions including cardiac diagnoses, post-angioplasty recovery, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, and complex surgical cases
- Care for COVID-positive patients, who may represent up to approximately 50% of the unit census at any given time
- Maintain infection control standards and adhere to facility protocols, including no artificial/false nails policy
- Floating outside of the ICU is not anticipated but may occur on rare occasions
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of West Virginia or a compact state
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Ability and willingness to care for COVID-positive patients
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- A copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license is required with all submissions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiac patients, including post-angioplasty care
- Familiarity with sepsis protocols and management of complex surgical patients
- EPIC EMR experience preferred, though candidates without EPIC experience will be considered
