    Job Title

    Travel RN – Acute Care / PCU (Night Shift)

    Location

    Brevard, North Carolina

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an acute care setting serving med/surg through ICU-level patients within a team-based care model
    • Perform procedures including IV starts, central venous line and arterial line management, Foley catheter insertion, EKG monitoring, and wound care
    • Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, glucometers, wound vacs, and feeding pumps; document all care using Cerner EMR
    • Participate in daily interdisciplinary team meetings with physicians, case management, pharmacy, and PT/OT to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
    • Maintain appropriate patient ratios (Stepdown/ICU 2–4:1; Med-Surg 5–6:1) while adapting to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
    • Float to TCU as needed and adhere to weekend rotation schedule per the staffing matrix
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
    • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
    • BLS certification required prior to start
    • ACLS certification required (must be completed prior to end of orientation)
    • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
    • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-acuity environment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior ICU or Stepdown/PCU experience strongly preferred
    • Minimum 1 year of med/surg experience preferred
    • Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
