Travel RN – CCU / ICU (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Projected Start: 08/31/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU/CCU unit with patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Arctic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring devices
- Assist with and support procedures including central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions
- Accurately document patient care and clinical data using the Meditech documentation system
- Float in rotation with core staffing as needed per unit floating policy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including medical technologists and patient care technicians based on census
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Kentucky or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/CCU experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Proficiency with critical care equipment and hemodynamic monitoring
- Strong critical thinking skills and self-motivated work ethic
- Compliance with dress code: scrubs in any color (no denim, capris, or camouflage)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification
- Prior experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Experience with specialty devices such as Impella, IABP, EKOS, or Arctic Sun
