Key Responsibilities
- Float within your clinical specialty (ICU, ER, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, or NICU) across multiple facilities, never floating to a lower acuity setting.
- Titrate drips as required based on unit assignment (e.g., ICU, ER, Tele, MedSurg).
- Read and interpret telemetry/monitor data as applicable to unit assignment (ICU, ER, Tele).
- Receive unit and facility assignment via app approximately one hour before shift start; be prepared for potential mid-shift float to different units or facilities as needed.
- Work weekends and holidays on an as-needed basis; no on-call or standby requirement.
- Participate in a structured orientation including a meet-and-greet and three shifts of inpatient orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the applicable specialty.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
- BLS certification required for all specialties.
- ACLS and NIHSS certification required for Tele and Critical Care assignments.
- TNCC certification required for Emergency Department assignments.
- Ability to titrate drips and, where applicable, read and interpret cardiac monitors independently.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Antepartum and mother-baby experience strongly preferred for L&D float pool candidates.
- Comfort with high-acuity, fast-paced environments across multiple facility types.
