Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Boise, ID

Key Responsibilities

• Float within your specialty across multiple inpatient units and facilities, including ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, and NICU — nurses will only float to units of equal or higher acuity
• Titrate drips as required in ICU, ER, Tele, and MedSurg settings (e.g., insulin drips on MedSurg)
• Read and interpret telemetry/monitor data as required by unit assignment (ICU, ER, Tele)
• Receive unit and facility assignments via app approximately one hour before each shift; be prepared for mid-shift floats to different units or facilities as needed
• Adhere to unit-specific nurse-to-patient ratios: ER 1:4, ICU 1:1–2, MedSurg 1:5, Tele 1:4, NICU 1:4
• Participate in a 3-shift inpatient orientation, including a meet-and-greet on day one

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in your specialty
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required for all specialties
• ACLS and NIHSS required for Tele and Critical Care assignments
• TNCC required for Emergency Department assignments
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Antepartum and mother-baby experience strongly preferred for L&D float pool candidates
• Comfort with mid-shift floating across units and facilities within a large, multi-site health system
• Experience reading and interpreting cardiac monitors independently
