Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Bel Air, MD

Operate and monitor specialized equipment including CRRT cart, ceiling lifts, central line cart, universal critical airway cart, chest tube cart, temporary pacer cart, bronch cart, chemo cart, and Malignant Hyperthermia cart. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting managing complex diagnoses including stroke, renal failure with CRRT, MI with IABP, respiratory failure, pneumonia, post cardiac arrest, DKA, and surgical ICU cases
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including CRRT cart, ceiling lifts, central line cart, universal critical airway cart, chest tube cart, temporary pacer cart, bronch cart, chemo cart, and Malignant Hyperthermia cart
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within specialty and acuity as required — travelers are first to float
• Participate in emergency response and critical care interventions with no on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
• ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible — locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless the posting specifically states otherwise

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT, IABP, Rotoprone, and other advanced critical care modalities
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the accepted online vendor for most units)
