    Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Up to 26 weeks | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a mixed ICU/PCU environment managing a range of diagnoses including COPD, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, DKA, AKI, encephalopathy, drug overdose, heart failure, and A-fib
    • Perform and assist with specialized procedures including CRRT/CVVHD, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, chest tube care, and trach management
    • Manage ventilated patients, interpret ABGs, and provide care involving BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and ETT/NT suctioning
    • Administer and titrate continuous IV sedation, vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, and emergency medications; manage IV insulin protocols
    • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias; respond to multi-system organ failure and acute stroke presentations
    • Float to other ICU and Med/Surg units as census requires, following established rotation with staff nurses; work every other weekend
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
    • ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification
    • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
    • Must be available for the full week of orientation and for the first 8 days of assignment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, cooling protocols, and massive transfusion procedures
    • Familiarity with specialized equipment including cooling machines, Bair Huggers, and CRRT machines
    • Experience managing ventilated patients and caring for high-acuity PCU-level patients
