    Registered Nurse – ICU (Intensive Care Unit)

    Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every other weekend required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a non-aggregated ICU setting serving Medical, Surgical, Coronary Care, Neuro, and Trauma patient populations (adults and geriatrics) at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Manage high-acuity Neuro and Trauma interventions, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
    • Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips; operate and manage specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT, EVD, and Arctic Sun/cooling blanket systems
    • Float to IMC or other appropriate critical-care areas within scope and competency based on facility needs (IMC ratio may be 1:4)
    • Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health records system
    • Complete required orientation modules virtually on the first day of contract and annual modules as required for ICU RN designation
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience required; Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU experience required
    • Level II Trauma experience required
    • ACLS, BLS, and NIH stroke scale certifications required
    • ATCAR or equivalent trauma education required (facility-approved trauma course may satisfy this requirement)
    • Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG assessment required with a passing score prior to contract start — must be submitted by the agency; local candidates are welcome to apply
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Teaching hospital experience preferred
    • Level I Trauma experience preferred
    • Prior experience with IABP, CRRT, EVD, and temperature management/cooling devices
    • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
