Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit in a fast-paced, acute care environment
• Manage a diverse patient population ranging from lower to higher acuity, including medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-level holds
• Adapt to changing patient acuity and clinical needs within the observation unit setting, located near the Emergency Department
• Float to other units or areas of competency as operationally required
• Adhere to holiday scheduling expectations as part of the standard work commitment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU or a comparable specialty within an acute care setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
• Experience working in or alongside an Emergency Department environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage patients across a wide range of acuity levels
