Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within a fast-paced, 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit located near the Emergency Department
- Manage a diverse patient population ranging from lower to higher acuity, including medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-level holds
- Adapt to changing patient acuity levels and respond effectively in a dynamic clinical environment
- Float to other units or areas within scope of competency as needed
- Participate in holiday coverage as expected per unit requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in ICU or a comparable specialty within an acute care setting
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
- Prior experience in an observation unit or ED-adjacent environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage patients across a wide range of acuity levels
