Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Manage a diverse patient population ranging from lower to higher acuity, including medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-level holds
- Adapt to changing patient acuity and clinical needs within the unit
- Float to other areas of competency as needed
- Participate in holiday coverage as expected per unit staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a like specialty within an acute care setting
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
- Prior experience in an observation unit or ED-adjacent environment
- Comfort working with a broad range of patient acuity levels
