    Job Title

    Travel RN – Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) | Night Shift

    Location

    Asheville, NC | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Surgical Trauma ICU at a Magnet-designated, ACS Verified Level I Trauma Center with a 1:2 patient ratio
    • Operate and monitor advanced equipment including EVDs, Camino/bolts, GE Carescape bedside monitors, GE ventilators, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, and Baxter/Alaris IV pump systems
    • Perform and assist with complex procedures including intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, A-line placement, CRRT/HD, proning, TPA administration, and hypertonic medication administration
    • Document all patient care accurately using Cerner PowerChart
    • Adhere to a 6-week scheduling cycle requiring 6 weekend shifts; float to other ICUs (MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU) or Step Down as needed per floating policy
    • Deliver kind, compassionate patient-centered care in alignment with unit standards
    Required Qualifications
    • Valid, active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care ICU setting (LTAC experience not considered)
    • Trauma ICU experience at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required
    • Surgical ICU experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with CRRT, EVD management, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
    • Familiarity with Cerner PowerChart documentation system
    • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with a positive attitude and flexibility in a high-acuity environment
